At the moment wedding celebrants in the UK are unable to register your marriage, so usually couples head to a registry office before their wedding day to complete the legal part of the marriage. At the registry office / town hall they will use a standardised legal script. Your celebrant-led ceremony will be fully personalised to tell your unique story and can be held anywhere.

Celebrants can hold your ceremony absolutely anywhere your hearts desire. The ceremony that myself, or another independent celebrant would create and deliver for you will be absolutely tailored to who you are and to your love. You will still need to complete the legal part of the marriage, most likely at a registry office. Registrars will use a standardised script. Many like to make the legalities a much smaller affair and do it on a different day to the main celebration. Marriages led by registrars can be carried out either at council buildings like town halls or specific venues with wedding licences, and in these cases weddings must be carried out in specific parts of the building. Many venues do not have a wedding licenses. Independent celebrants can also perform ceremonies at venues that do have a wedding license, of course, in any part of the venue.

My standard fee for 2026 is £750
This includes:
Deep-dive meeting - After our discovery call, if we decide to proceed, we will meet (via video call or in real life if you’re in the London area) to discuss in more detail ideas, requirements, and dreams for your ceremony. We will also discuss any symbolic rituals you may wish to incorporate
Questionnaire completion - I will send you each a questionnaire to complete, which will give me everything else I need to tailor a ceremony to perfectly reflect who you both are and to tell your love story
Recommendations of readings and poems that will be a good fit for you
Advice and support with your vows, if you are writing your own, including comparing your vows to help ensure they work perfectly together
Ceremony script draft - I will create and share my draft for your ceremony with you. It will be around 30 minutes long and will include all stage management details
Incorporating feedback - You can either send feedback on email or we can discuss on a call. I will then update the script
Venue meeting / Rehearsal - ahead of the big day we can visit the venue together, location dependent, and rehearse. If this is not possible at the venue we can rehearse at another location or on video call
The big day - I will arrive an hour before the ceremony to give any last-minute support required and to connect with venue management and AV teams, as required
Officiating your ceremony (usually around 30 minutes)

Absolutely! One of the reasons many people choose a celebrant-led ceremony for their wedding day is the fact that there is so much space to involve family and / or friends. We can discuss ideas for how this could work when we speak.

100%. I love incorporating traditions or rituals that mean something to a couple into their ceremony. Many mixed-faith and spiritual couples choose celebrant-led ceremonies because we have space to nod to traditions and rituals from different religions and spiritual beliefs.

I am very happy to travel. We can discuss how additional fees could work when we speak. If you would like to get together for a rehearsal before travelling we can still do this locally (if you’re based in or around London) or over video call

Absolutely not! Everyone is welcome.
